Shelley David Richards

Shelley David Richards, age 62, of Wormleysburg, fell asleep in the Lord on July 19, 2022.  Born in Chadron, NE to the late Franklin Dale David and Pamela Jayne Money on June 25, 1960, Shelley is survived by her two children:  Richard Post, Jr. of Charlotte, NC and Nina (Clint) Wilbourn of Loysville; two grandchildren:  Brandon and Brieyona; three siblings:  Donald David of Hilo, HI, Tressina Porter and Faun (Todd) David, both of Wichita, KS; and six nieces and nephews:  Scott (Amber Cook) Porter of Yermo, CA, Savannah, Andrina David of Orlando, FL, Dasianay, Aveion, and Whitney David of Harrison, NJ.  In addition to her parents, Shelley is preceded in death by her brother, Drake David.

Shelley retired from the Department of Health Services of New Jersey, where she worked as a teacher/mentor in Eatontown, NJ.  Her first priority in life was the Lord!  She had such a giving heart and loved her grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her infectious laughter and spiffy outfits that she wore.  She taught her grandkids to love all of Michael Jackson’s songs.  She was fascinated (some might say obsessed) with elephants, loved to color, and watched Lifetime all night on television.  She treasured relationships with people more than materialistic “things”.

Funeral services for Shelley will be held on Wednesday, July 27 at New Life Assembly of God Church in Landisburg.  The viewing will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, followed by the funeral service t 1 PM, officiated by Pastor Rafe Sanderson.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc. to offset funeral expenses.  (Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 910, Loysville, PA  17047)
