Robert E Middaugh, age 76, gained his eternal angel wings on May 8, 2021. Born on March 22, 1945 at home in Ickesburg to the late William and Anna (Middaugh) Shuman, Bobby is survived by four siblings: Bonnie (Bob) Arney of Newport, Dean (Jo) Shuman of Loysville, Charlie Shuman of Loysville, and Carl Middaugh of Shade Gap.
Bobby worked as a Trainee at the Pollock Center for Industrial Training, until his retirement in 2012. He was a huge Clint Eastwood fan, and loved going to the movies. His favorite hobby was shopping. He was simply a delight to be around and his smile lit up the room. Bobby loved his back scratched (especially by pretty ladies) and had three favorite topics of conversation: Clint Eastwood, lions (could be the circus or Daniel in the Lions’ Den), and bees (complete with sounds and hand motions). He dreamed of going to Colorado or Montana and becoming a cowboy.
Bobby will be the guest of honor at the Visitation being held in the newly renovated chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, located at 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville. The Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, May 17, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 AM, with Pastor David Zimmerman officiating. These services will follow the COVID parameters of social distancing with masks requested. Interment will follow at Sandy Hill Cemetery near Kistler.
