Richard “Dick” C. Wagner of New Bloomfield, age 88, departed this Earth and joined his Heavenly Father on August 25, 2021. Born on November 24, 1932 to the late Carl and Christina Mae (Hentzel) Wagner of Houtzdale, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Phyllis (Yarger) Wagner, three sons: Carl (Fran) Wagner of Newport, Todd (Jo-Nell) Wagner of Newport, and Mark (Beth) Wagner of Shermans Dale; three grandchildren: Ryan (Kelsey) Wagner of Harrisburg, Nash Wagner and Victoria Wagner of Shermans Dale; and five great grandchildren, all of Harrisburg: Kylie, Kirra, Kloey, and Hank Wagner and Kain Feschuk. In addition to his parents, Dick is preceded in death by his brother, William Wagner.
Dick graduated from Houtzdale High School and proudly served his country in the US Army. Upon discharge, Dick worked from A&P Grocery Store as the Store Manager, and later retired from Campbell's Distribution Center. Dick loved his family and was passionate about hunting and fishing. He attended River of Life Community Church.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 31st with Pastor Dennis Gerkin officiating.
