Michael J Janesko

Michael J. Janesko, 70, of Newville passed away on March 16, 2023 with his family by his side.  He was loving and caring, contrary and stubborn, a devoted father and an extremely hard worker.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, boating, his dogs, and family.  Mike was born in Lebanon, PA, on March 31, 1952, to the late James and Marilyn Jean (Noll) Janesko.  He will be deeply missed by his finance, Michelle Long of Newville.  He is survived by his son, Bryan (Tara) Janesko of Harrisburg; three step children:  Jen (Bill) Kiner of Newville, Jess (Troy) Barto of Lititz, and Jon (Christy) Ressler of Elizabethtown; ten grandchildren:  Jordyn and Austin of Dauphin, Courtney of Newville, Samantha and Michael of Mechanicsburg, Brooke and Levi of Dillsburg, Hope of Highspire, Dalton of Newville, Austin of Lititz, Julia of Lititz, Kaila of Elizabethtown, and Kaden of Elizabethtown; five great grandchildren; his sister:  Joni (Henry) Good of Harrisburg; and his niece and nephew.

Mike graduated with the Lebanon High School Class of 1970 and continued his education to graduate Valedictorian of the 1972 Class of Penn State University, with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  This very intelligent and detail-oriented man worked for PPL until his retirement in 2018.  In his spare time, he was a member of the American Legion Sons of Post 730 and Friends of Gettysburg Foundation.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA  17110.
