Mary (Arnold) Stover of Perry Village, New Bloomfield, age 86, died on July 31, 2022.  Born at home on August 7, 1935 to the late William and Elizabeth (Klinger) Arnold of Newport, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister.  She is survived by five children:  Henry Pontius of Harrisburg, Sue (Blaine) Flanders of Port Trevorton, Andrew (Ilene) Pontius of Loysville, Deborah (Eugene) Stambaugh of Landisburg, and Cynthia (Mark) Bowermaster of Carlisle; ten grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and one brother, Larry Arnold.  In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Duane Stover, her daughter, Teresa Jenson; her grandson, Jarrod Jensen, and her eight siblings:  William Arnold, Milton Arnold, Robert Arnold, Harold Arnold, John Arnold, Kathleen Armstrong, Margaret Morrison, and James Arnold.

Mary was a stay-at-home mom for many years while the children were growing up.  Then, she worked in sales at a bridal shop and assisted with a photographer.  Mary was a great cook and loved interacting with her family.  In her quiet time, she enjoyed reading a good romance or mystery book.
