Kathryn C. (Wright) Shelley

Kathryn (Wright) Shelley of Ickesburg, age 87, died on June 13, 2022.  Born at home on January 12, 1935 to the late John and Kathryn (Cox) Wright of Millerstown, Kathryn is survived by four children:  Cheri (Tom) Shuey of Jonestown, Amy (David) Dissinger of Manheim, Hope (Grant) Shelley-Lewis of Acworth, GA, and Todd (Julie) Shelley of Landisburg; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; and her sister, Doreen Shope of Hughesville.  In addition to her parents, Kathryn is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Wilmer O. Shelley, who died in 2009; her daughter, Heidi Shelley; and her sister, Laurel Dysinger.

Kathryn was a homemaker – a calling she never retired from.  She was a member of the Faith United Church in Ickesburg.  Her passions included quilting, baking, and doting on the grandchildren.

Kathryn’s services are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution to Faith United Church, PO Box 100, Ickesburg, PA  17037.
