Harold "Lee" Casner, 93, formerly of Loysville, passed away January 24, 2020 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born October 11, 1926 in Milford Township, Juniata County, he was the son of the late Lewis E. and Tessie T. (Bryner) Casner.
He was a retired car inspector for Conrail (formerly the Pennsylvania Railroad), owned and operated a farm and was a school bus driver for the former Blain Union School District. Lee loved and collected John Deere tractors.
Surviving are two sons: Harold R. (and wife, Beverly) Casner and Ronald L. (and wife, Annamarie) Casner; and two daughters: Betty J. (and husband, Kenneth) Thomas and Sandra K. Schumacher, all of Loysville; seven grandchildren: David L. (and wife, Jayme) Casner, Dennis Casner (and friend, Andrea Carbaugh), Daniel Casner, Joshua Casner (and companion, Erin Jones), Andrew (and wife, Krista) Thomas, Megan (and husband, Benjamin) Fry, and John (and wife, Lizhen) Schumacher; seven great-grandchildren: Tarryn and Katelyn Casner, Isabell and Adelina Casner, Archer Thomas, Owen Casner, and Hannah Schumacher; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mabel J. (Barnes) Casner, his granddaughter, Katie J. Thomas, a brother, Edward B. Casner, and five sisters, Edna Zendt, Bessie Schell, Lottie Turbett, Jennie Shearer, and Beulah Swartz.
Services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville with Pastor Bradley Bennett officiating. There will be a viewing at the funeral home Thursday from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will be in Blain Cemetery.
