Brenda (Sheely) Dingle

Brenda Jane (Sheely) Dingle, age 71 of Shermans Dale, entered into her eternal home on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Known to most as “B.J.”, she was born in Carlisle on August 10, 1951 to the late Clyde and Ruth (Henry) Sheely. BJ is survived by her devoted husband of 31 years, Earl Wayne Dingle and her brother, Ralph (Beth) Sheely of Carlisle.

BJ had a passion for problem solving. After high school, she continued her education at Harrisburg Area Community College and earned her Associates degree in Crisis Counseling.  She was a homemaker and member of Sandy Hill United Church of Christ, where she served as the Church Secretary. She utilized her problem-solving skills with her two favorite hobbies –  motorcycles and fur babies. She was an active member of A.B.A.T.E. – Alliance of Bikers  Aimed Toward Education and CART of Perry County. CART is a volunteer community animal response team (assisting with Homeland Security) which identifies key priorities and related strategies that address the emergency management needs of people with companion animals, service animals and backyard livestock.

A memorial service will be held for B.J. on April 1 at Sandy Hill U.C.C. church at 10:30 with Reverend Don Funk officiating.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
