Ronald “Ron” Lee Mahan, age 84, of Boiling Springs, was called home on July 31, 2019 at Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 10, 1935 in Harrisburg he was the son of the late James B. and Eva Z. Mahan, Sr.
After graduating from John Harris High School in Harrisburg, Ron served in the US Marine Veteran as a Sgt. during the Korean war.
He was the husband of the late Deanna “Dee” E. Sheaffer Mahan who died on July 27, 2015.
He was employed until his retirement as an associate broker with Phil Garman ERA Real Estate, Carlisle. He also had been employed previously with REMAX Reality Associates of Camp Hill, assistant cashier at Bank of Blain and CCNB New Cumberland where he served as Assistant Vice President.
He was a member of the Mechanicsburg Club, VFW Post 8851 Boiling Springs, PA; American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg, PA and B.P.O Elks #578, Carlisle.
Ron is survived by a daughter Rhonda L. Purvis and husband Bob of Boiling Springs; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by a brother James B. Mahan, Jr.
The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M on Thursday, August 15, 2019, in the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc.; 3626 Sherman’s Valley Rd., Loysville, PA. followed by funeral services at 11 A.M. with Pastor David Lusk officiating. Interment will be in Blain Cemetery.
