Raymond Gibson

ELLIOTTSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA

Raymond Allen Gibson, age 55 of Elliottsburg an angel in the arms of Denise Wilson (niece and caregiver) and Brittany Wilson (great niece) was called home on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the UPMC Carlisle Hospital.

Born September 21, 1963 in Altoona he was the son of the late Calvin and Dorothy Weber Gibson.

Raymond graduated from Hollidaysburg High School

He had been employed as a laborer for Center for Industry training.

Raymond spent his last years with great adventures and love in the care of his family, Roger Wilson, Denise Wilson, Brittany Wilson, Tyler Wilson and his pride and joy Rylan Gingrich (great great nephew).

This year he had the adventure of going to Nebraska to visits his niece Lynn Eacker, Steve Eacker and their children Mandi Cale and Erica Eacker.  He truly loved them with all his heart.

Raymond was truly a “Ray” of sunshine in the lives of everyone who had the opportunity to know him.  His smile, laugh and huge heart made everyone fall in love.

In addition to his caregivers he is also survived by a brother Donald Gibson and wife Dianna of Williamsburg, PA; two sisters Claudia Bliecher of Altoona and Joyce McCarty and her husband Eugene McCarty of Shermans Dale.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening January 16, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM in the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc. 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville, PA.   Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home.  Rev. William Pipp officiating.  Interment will be held following at Carson Valley Cemetery in Duncansville, PA.
