LaRue A. (Crawford) Schlusser

HARRISBURG - LaRue A. Schlusser, 95, of Harrisburg and formerly of Ickesburg passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in her home.
    LaRue was born September 28, 1922 in New Bloomfield to the late Luther and Alice (Sweger) Crawford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Schlusser and brothers, Robert and Luther Crawford.
    LaRue was retired from Pebb Manufacturing in Ickesburg and was a co-owner with her son at the former Sun Bonnet Restaurant in Loysville.
    She was of the Lutheran Faith.
    Surviving are her children, Patricia A. Sheriff and Bonnie L. Shuman and her husband Larry all of Ickesburg, Allan E. Schlusser and his partner Jose A. Mata of Harrisburg, her siblings, James Crawford of Mifflin, Yvonne Trout of New Bloomfield, Sylvia Kerstetter of York, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
    A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Nickel Funeral Home, 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA 1704 with Pastor Elaine C. Moyer officiating. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home.
