James H. Hess

BLAIN - James H. Hess, 71, of Blain went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in his home.
    Jim was born November 19, 1946 in Lancaster to the late W. Veryl and Verna M. (Hoffman) Hess.
    Jim was a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran.
    He was a member of the Grace Brethren Church of Sherman's Valley, Blain.
    He enjoyed being outside and bicycling. He loved playing music on his mandolin, gardening and giving away the fruits of his labor.
    Surviving are his wife, Sara G. (Sinclair) Hess, his children, Lakota Z. Hess and his wife Christina of Camp Hill, Keziah A. S. Hess-Klopp and her husband Christopher of Lock Haven, Benjamin J. Hess and his wife Samantha of Bethany, MO., his siblings, Veryl Hess of East Earl, Karl Hess of Albuquerque, NM., Judy Stephan of Conestoga, nine grandchildren, Cassiah R. Hess, Carver J. A. Hess, Cadence L. H. Hess, Conrad J. A. Hess, Milo F. Klopp, Thomas D. Klopp, Charles B. Klopp, Henry A. Klopp, Margaret S. R. Klopp, cousins and nieces and nephews.
    A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Grace Brethren Church of Sherman's Valley, 57 Church Road, Blain, PA 17006. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday prior to the service in the church. Burial will be in the Blain Cemetery.
