Helen Virginia Myers

LOYSVILLE, PENNSYLANIA

Helen Virginia (Shenk) Myers, age 91, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at her home.

Born in Loysville, Perry County, on March 21, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Ervin E. and Ethel G. (Hess) Shenk.  Helen was the last member of her immediate family.

Helen was the widow of John W. Myers who passed away on May 7, 1991.  They were married at Greencastle, PA on June 22, 1962.

Helen worked at Reeves Hoffman at Carlisle and Perry Village in the kitchen retiring from there after many years.

She was a past president and secretary of Perry County. W.C.T.U., being a member for 50 years.  Helen loved her cats and the Shenk reunions.

She was a member of Mt. Vernon Church, Loysville Union and the New Hope United Church of Christ, Landisburg, PA.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brothers and sisters David Edward Shenk Sr., Ralph William Shenk, Anna Louise Shenk, and Freda Irene Myers.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 9:30 AM to 10:30 A.M. in the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA followed by a funeral service at 10:30 A.M.. with Rev. Joshua Craley officiating.   Interment in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, PA.
