George Dale Broadwater

George D. Broadwater, age 67 of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, died July 29, 2019

at his home.

Born June 10, 1952 in Frostburg, Maryland, to the late Samuel C. Broadwater and

Thelma Viola (Bostjancic) Blank.

He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Sharon L. (Smith) Broadwater

whom he married on December 14, 2009, and he was a loving father to his children.

George graduated from Allegany Highschool in Cumberland, Maryland.

He had enlisted into the Navy in 1973.

He belonged to the Vietnam Veterans Of America Chapter 172 in Cumberland, Maryland.

George had volunteered with the Landisburg Fire Company.

George retired on July 13, 2012 from the New Cumberland Army Depot where he

had worked for many years and received many awards for outstanding performance

in his job.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by his mother; Thelma Viola (Bostjancic )Blank, children

Christopher Broadwater and his wife Pamela, Jeremy Broadwater, and Michelle

Broadwater. Also, he is survived by a sister Patricia (Hott) Longridge and her husband Marvin , and a granddaughter; Hailey

Broadwater.

George was preceded in death by a brother Samuel Broadwater.

A memorial service will be held at the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home

Inc., Wednesday, August 7, 2019. The family will receive friends at 6PM with a memorial

service to follow at 7 PM, with Rev. R. Bruce Henneman officiating.
