Clair Smith Obituary

Clair E. Smith, 81, of 576 Pine Grove Road, New Bloomfield, passed away Thursday, December 26th. He was born February 27thth, 1938 to the late Frank and Maude Smith.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years Donna L. (Rice) Smith of New Bloomfield. Two sons Michael O. and wife Pam, daughters Rachel and Kate, Keith E. and wife Alisa and daughters Krystal Stober, and husband Spencer and Rebecca. One daughter Laurie C. Maxwell and husband Dave, daughter Annette and sons Andrew and Adam. And one great grandson, Lochlyn Stober. Brothers Ken of Cataula, GA, Paul of Pittsburgh, PA and Bob of Servern, MD. Clair was preceded in death by brothers Don, Charles, and Frank. Clair was a machinist for Oven Industries for over 30 years, and he graduated from Green Park Union High School in 1956 and he attended Williamsport Community College.

Clair enjoyed wood working, hunting, fishing, volleyball, golf, archery, watching Penn State football and he loved playing Pinochle with his family.

Viewing and Services will be held at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Falling Springs Road, Landisburg, PA at 10 AM on January 3rd, 2020. There will be refreshments in the church afterwards.
