Ada M. Kiner

Mrs. Ada Marie Evans Kiner, 81, of Landisburg, died Thursday morning, February 7, 2019, at her son’s residence.  She was the wife of the late Raymond Harrison Kiner, who preceded her in death in July, 2007.

Born April 28, 1937, in Newport, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Allen and Mabel Mae Beers Evans.

While Mrs. Kiner was a kind mother and homemaker, she did work as a younger lady for the apparel factories in both Newport and New Bloomfield.

Surviving are her children, Virginia M Kiner of Enola, and Ron E. Kiner and wife Kelly Gephart of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Chelsey and Denver Barrick, and Veronica and Dalton Kiner; and her great grandchildren, Olivia and Cohen Barrick; as well as her sister, Pearl A. Evans Fahnestock of Newport.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Kiner was preceded in death by siblings Verna A. Evans Zell, and Earl F., Carl A., and Charles G. Evans.

The family will receive friends at Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville, Wednesday, February 13, beginning at 1:00 PM.  The funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2:00 PM with Chaplain Edward L. Rabenstein, II, of Residential Hospice, Mechanicsburg, officiating.  Interment will follow in Landisburg Cemetery.
